1948年生まれ。日大卒。25歳で日展初入選その後特選2回と出品委嘱を経て審査員。
1984年第4回日本画廊協会展大賞、1985年第3回上野の森美術館大賞展フジテレビ賞、など受賞多数。
銀座資生堂ギャラリー、松屋銀座、吉井画廊、上野の森美術館、つくば美術館、パリ吉井画廊など個展
日洋会理事、日展会員、日本美術家連盟会員。なめがた大使。
著書に「人・絵・エスプリ」（筑波書房）、「美は人をつくる」（常陽新聞社）がある。
Biography（English）
Born in 1948. Graduated from Nihon University. First selected for Nitten Exhibition at the age of 25. Specially selected for Nitten Exhibition two times and then asked to exhibit his works for it. A Nitten Exhibition examiner. 1984 Japan Picture Gallery Top Award. 1985 Ueno no Mori Art Museum Fuji Television Award. Etc.
Exhibitions at Ginza Shiseido Gallery, Matsuya Ginza Gallery, Yoshii Gallery, Ueno no Mori Art Museum, Tsukuba Art Museum, Paris Yoshii Gallery, etc.

座右の銘
The mediocre teacher tells．The good teacher explains．The superior teacher Demonstrates．The great teacher inspires．
しょせん 絵というものは、みる人の心の深さしかわからない。
2011.3.11東日本大震災の翌年5月、東京に金環日食が出現した。地球の惨事を宇宙が悼んでいるかのように感じて見上げたものだ。ぼくは祈りの象徴としてその環を自分の作品に取り込んだ。以来、どんなに美しい風景にも悲しみの歴史があると想うようになった。
削ぎ取って削ぎ取って、煮詰め直し、昇華した上で、ぼくの心の色で描く。俳句のような絵画でいいと思う。
